Liz Miyashiro Selected for ACCE Talent Development Fellowship
Sheboygan, Wis. — The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Liz Miyashiro, Director of Finance and Operations, has been accepted into the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Talent Development Fellowship, a professional development program designed to strengthen chamber-led approaches to education, workforce and talent development.
Miyashiro, the Chamber’s Director of Finance and Operations, works across the organization to support strategic initiatives, operations and workforce development. Her role includes helping connect Chamber programs, employers and community partners to advance a more coordinated approach to attracting, developing and retaining talent in Sheboygan County.
Her participation in the fellowship comes at an important time as the Chamber continues to strengthen the connections between talent attraction, career exploration, employer engagement and retention.
“For more than 100 years, the Sheboygan County Chamber has served as a convener — bringing business, government and education into the same space to address challenges through conversation and collaboration rather than in silos,” said Deidre Martinez, CEO of the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce. “Talent development has long been part of that commitment, and this fellowship gives Liz the opportunity to bring new ideas and best practices back to Sheboygan County while building on the strong work already happening here.”
That work can be seen throughout the Chamber's programming. Make Your Mark supports talent attraction and connects prospective residents with local career and community opportunities. The Chamber's annual STEAMFest and Explore Your Future events introduce students to local industries, employers and career pathways. The Business Education Partnership, a longstanding Chamber committee, brings business, education and workforce partners together to strengthen communication and alignment, while Coastal Young Professionals Network helps emerging professionals build relationships, develop as leaders and establish deeper connections to the community.
Through the fellowship, Miyashiro will explore how chambers can better use workforce data, identify gaps in the talent ecosystem, align partners around shared outcomes and measure the impact of regional talent efforts.
“What makes Sheboygan County unique is how deeply our employers and community partners are invested—not only in building a strong workforce, but in helping people build meaningful lives here,” Miyashiro said. “This fellowship gives me the opportunity to learn from chamber professionals across the country and explore how we can connect those efforts even more effectively. I’m excited to bring new ideas home and help create clearer pathways for people to discover opportunities, build relationships and see a future for themselves in Sheboygan County.”
Miyashiro's selection for the ACCE Talent Development Fellowship is an opportunity to build on the Chamber's longstanding role as a connector and convener while strengthening a coordinated approach to attracting, developing and retaining the talent Sheboygan County needs for the future.
