The Team Behind the Sheboygan Film Festival Congratulates Filmmakers on State’s New Budget
A state film office and incentives will make a difference for everyone.
SHEBOYGAN, WI — July 28, 2025 — When Wisconsin Legislators passed the 2025-2027 biennial state budget and Governor Evers signed it, things got brighter for everyone working in the film industry, according to members of the committee organizing the first annual Sheboygan Film Festival. The budget includes an investment to establish a Lakeshore College awarded $1.36M to provide TRIO Student Support ServicesFederal grant intends to boost student retention and graduation at Lakeshore
CLEVELAND, WI – The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Lakeshore College a federal TRIO Student Support Services grant totaling $1.36 million to improve college retention and graduation rates among low-income students, first-generation students, and students with disabilities. Lakeshore will receive $272,364 annually for the next five years.

Paradigm to Host Film Fest Screening and Party
Iconic Sheboygan venue to play a vital role in city’s inaugural film festival.
SHEBOYGAN, WI — July 18, 2025 — Organizers of the Sheboygan Film Festival (SFF)announced today that Paradigm Coffee & Music will serve as an official venue for select screenings and events during the festival’s inaugural run, scheduled for October 2–5, 2025. Paradigm will host a Friday evening film screening and evening social at 1202 N. 8th Street. Newly appointed board members Abbey Quistorf and Mary Parrish, along with Nichter, were sworn in at the board’s organizational meeting July 14.
