SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the promotion of Alexis Schroeder to Program Manager, recognizing her exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and commitment to advancing workforce development initiatives throughout Sheboygan County.
Since joining the Chamber team, Schroeder has played an instrumental role in coordinating and growing several of the Chamber's signature workforce and leadership programs. In her new role, she will expand her responsibilities to include management of the Make Your Mark workforce attraction and retention initiative, a partnership between the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce and Sheboygan County Government. Through this initiative, she will support employers, connect job seekers with opportunities, welcome new residents, and help position Sheboygan County as a premier place to live, work, and build a career.
"This is a natural next step in the continued growth of the Make Your Mark program," said Deidre Martinez, CEO of the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce. "Alexis has demonstrated an incredible ability to build meaningful relationships, organize impactful programming, and support both employers and emerging talent. She is already leading several of our workforce initiatives, and expanding her role to include management of Make Your Mark is the perfect fit."
In addition to overseeing the Make Your Mark initiative, Schroeder will continue managing several of the Chamber's workforce development programs, including Coastal Young Professionals, the Summer Intern & Co-op Program, Leadership Sheboygan County, and Junior Leadership Sheboygan County. Her work supports the Chamber's comprehensive approach to developing, attracting, and retaining talent while strengthening connections between local employers, students, young professionals, and new residents.
"As workforce challenges continue to evolve, it is important that we continue investing in programs and people who are making a measurable difference," Martinez added. "Alexis has earned the trust of our employers, educational partners, and community organizations through her passion, professionalism, and dedication to helping others succeed. The Make Your Mark initiative is a collaborative workforce attraction and retention program led by the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Sheboygan County Government. The program works alongside employers, educational institutions, municipalities, and community organizations to attract new talent, support workforce retention, and help individuals and families successfully transition to life in Sheboygan County.
