Court Reporting Program Awarded Recertification at Lakeshore Technical College
CLEVELAND, WI – The Council on Approved Student Education has awarded Lakeshore Technical College’s court reporting program recertification though January 2028. The organization bases its decision on standards set forth by the National Court Reporters Association.
“Our recertification reflects the high quality program and instruction provided to our students, who are graduating and enjoying fulfilling careers throughout our CLEVELAND, WI – In an effort aiming to provide additional support to underrepresented student groups, Lakeshore Technical College is partnering with the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association of Sheboygan by providing on-site staffing at the association’s 2304 Superior Ave. location.
“By placing a program counselor on site, we are able to provide accessible academic planning and connection to student support services that can keep students on track to degree completion,” says Lakeshore Executive Director of CLEVELAND, WI – Melissa Puksich, a student at Lakeshore Technical College, has been named a 2023 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholar and recipient of a $1,000 scholarship.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 gold, 50 silver, and 50 bronze scholars with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Each scholar also receives a commemorative medallion.
“The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has a long history of providing financial assistance to CLEVELAND, WI – A new “40 Under 40” awards program has announced the inclusion of Lakeshore Technical College President Dr. Paul Carlsen. Individuals named to the list have been identified by Insight Publications as the top 40 professionals in the New North region.
Carlsen was chosen for his outstanding service and leadership in both the workplace and community. He will be honored at a May 31 ceremony and recognized in the June issue of Insight magazine.
According to Carlsen’s nomination, under his CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore Technical College has been awarded $1.94 million in grant funding from the Wisconsin Technical College System.
“Our continued success in securing grant funding means we have more targeted resources to teach and support students on their academic journey,” said Lakeshore President Dr. Paul Carlsen.
The $1.94 million will support, among other initiatives, competency-based education programs in nursing, information technology web and software development, and manufacturing. TheNews
