CLEVELAND, Wis. — Lakeshore College has launched a new commercial truck driving program designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in the transportation and logistics industry. The in-person program provides students with the training needed to meet federal Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements and pursue a Commercial Driver License (CDL) in Wisconsin. By offering this program locally, students will no longer need to travel to Fond Du Lac, Milwaukee, Appleton, or Green Bay for commercial CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore College will host three summer camps offering middle and high school students the opportunity to explore in-demand careers. All camps will be held on the college’s Cleveland campus.
Junior Chef Camp is planned for June 15-17 from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. High school students ages 14-18 will experience three days learning alongside professional chefs in the Lakeshore College Culinary Arts Lab. Hands-on activities will help Junior Chefs discover all that is needed to run a successful SHEBOYGAN, WI — May 8, 2026 — The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce was pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Best Under 40 Awards during the annual awards dinner held on the evening of May 7 at The Villager at 170.
“We are so proud of all of this year’s nominees and winners,” said Deidre Martinez, CEO of the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce. “The nomination process spans several weeks, and anyone in the community can submit a nomination. Our judges — made up of Chamber committee members, Jack Bauer, Kyle Heling, and Tracy Arens are the recipients of UnitedOne Credit Union’s three $1,000 scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year.
Bauer is a senior at Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He will be attending college at UW-Whitewater to pursue a career as a financial advisor.
“I want to help people with budgeting and not be stressed with bills or loans or whatever it may be as well as helping them prepare for their future by saving money and investing,” Bauer said.
Heling is a senior at CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore College’s spring graduation will mark the culmination of the educational journeys of 270 students on Saturday, May 9, on the college’s Cleveland campus. Among the 320 credentials being awarded, the majority are associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates.
