Position: Corporate Guardian - Full Time

Benefits: 403(b) (employer match available after one year), ten (10) days paid vacation, Agency’s paid holidays, paid sick leave, employer-provided life insurance (GLI), long-term disability insurance (LTD) (after one year), Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) (after one year).

Salary: Non-exempt position.

Location: Sheboygan, WI. Servicing Outagamie, Winnebago, and Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, Washington, Manitowoc counties.

Reports to: Director of Advocacy

General Overview:

A corporate guardian is responsible for adhering to Wisconsin statutes governing guardianship. Guardians must be aware of community resources that can be beneficial to their wards, be able to work independently while being an effective part of their team. Guardians serve their wards and keep their wards’ best interest in mind at any time during the fulfillment of their duty. Frequent driving, visiting wards, to court appearances and for appointments with caretakers.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with some experience in any of the following fields: guardianship, social work, healthcare, case management or care giving in public setting. High school diploma with extensive work experience in the above listed fields will be considered. Ability to work independently in multiple settings and to maintain communication with several entities. The candidate must be bondable and have a valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate should be comfortable using a mobile device such as a smart phone, a tablet and/or a laptop. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee assigned client caseload to ensure that supervision, housing, health, support, financial and vocational needs of wards are met
  • Approve record and submit required documentation to necessary parties
  • Participate in meetings, phone calls, and communications regarding assigned clients
  • Travel to complete client visits as required
  • Complete daily documentation of tasks related to clients and maintain confidentiality
  • Keep all notes and documentation on clients’ cases in order and up to date
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and shared decision-making to allow for the best possible outcomes for wards
  • Follow administrative procedures and personnel policies
  • Participating in agency public relations efforts
  • Be in the rotation as the emergency on call guardian for weekends and holidays.
  • Be available for other assignments as needed
  • Any other activities and responsibilities as assigned by the guardian program manager

Pay: $41,600.00 - $52,000.00 per year
