CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore College invites community members, students and alumni to celebrate Halloween with a morning of family-friendly fun during College, Candy & Costumes on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9–11 a.m. at the College’s Cleveland Campus, 1290 North Ave., Cleveland.
The fifth annual free event will take place in the Nierode Building and offers families an opportunity to enjoy Halloween activities while exploring Lakeshore College. Children are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their own trick-or-treat bags.
“College, Candy & Costumes is a fun way to welcome our community to campus and give families an opportunity to experience Lakeshore College together,” said Dr. Paul Carlsen, president of Lakeshore College. “We’re especially excited to welcome back our alumni and their families this year for a special Halloween homecoming.”
Activities will include pumpkin decorating, family-friendly activities, trick-or-treating, free apple cider and fresh popcorn. Pumpkins are limited and will be available while supplies last. Coffee will also be available for purchase from the Grove Roots Food Truck.
As part of the Halloween homecoming, Lakeshore alumni and their families can reconnect with fellow graduates, tour campus and learn more about what Lakeshore College has to offer.
The event also provides an opportunity for individuals considering a new career path to connect with Lakeshore representatives. College staff will be available to answer questions about career programs, the application process, paying for college, earning credit for prior learning and other opportunities.
Registration is highly preferred but not required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The event is free and open to the community. Families are asked to bring their own trick-or-treat bags.
